Pricing factors
What moves the price up or down
Beyond size and wood species, these options have the biggest effect on your final quote.
Roof decking
2×8 tongue-and-groove decking is our standard. Switching to purlins can reduce cost by $100–$200. T&G gives the best look for interior visibility.
Steel plating
Full structural steel plating is included by default. Minimal plating reduces cost by approximately $1,000–$1,500. Full plating provides maximum structural strength.
Post mounting
Post bases (surface mounted) are standard. Setting posts in the ground typically adds a small cost adjustment. Most customers go with post bases for concrete slab builds.
Stain
Kits ship unstained by default. Adding pre-stain typically runs $2,000–$3,000 depending on size. You can also stain it yourself after assembly if you’d rather handle it on site.
Roof style
Metal roofing is standard. Shingles are available. Gable ends, wagon wheel details, and custom truss designs add cost depending on complexity. Gable adds can range from $2,000–$8,000+.
Shipping
Shipping is quoted separately from the kit price. Rates vary significantly by location. Local pickup at our Henderson, TN shop is available. We ship anywhere in the US.
